PROFESSIONAL PORTFOLIO
I have always loved clothes and fashion but not in the sense of having the latest trend or celebrity endorsed outfit. For me it’s about creativity; from design stage to manufacture, from buying and displaying goods in the shop window, from a customer’s interpretation of a look to the glossy magazine’s portrayal of a trend.

The psychology of it all fascinates me and the way we wear and use clothes to project an image is an important part of the human psyche. When working with clients my aim to is to help them create an image and style that works for them. I want them to feel fabulous and ooze confidence. I encourage them to be unique and not tied to unrealistic ideals and standards of perfection. Everyone has the potential to be stylish irrespective of age, shape, size or budget.

I work with businesses and organisations who see personal image training as integral to their business strategy. I run fashion events, style clinics and special promotions in conjunction with local retailers and I support fund-raising 'style & image' events for local charities.

I am keen to encourage young people who wish to embark in a career in fashion and have accepted students on work experience.

I am particularly interested in the positive and negative influences of fashion and image on teenagers and young people. Young people need access to information and advice on how to make the most of themselves without feeling pressurised to look a certain way or to have the latest trend. Together with a colleague I have developed a programme of image and lifestyle skills for use in schools, colleges and youth organisations.

I have trained with London‘s leading Image Consultancy. I am a
member of the Federation of Image Consultants and I subscribe to
the Federation’s Code of Professional Practice and Code of Ethics.
I continue to develop my skills as a stylist and image consultant by
keeping abreast of new trends and developments and by attending
regular master class forums, events and seminars

My personal style is a mix of dramatic and classic. I’m prepared to put a lot of effort into my wardrobe and I constantly review and re-work outfits. I want my clothes to express my personality and individuality as well as being appropriate for the occasion or event. I believe that in order for your wardrobe to work for you, your clothes have to reflect your lifestyle otherwise you will always be asking yourself what you have to wear. My motto to my clients is,

“Wear it and love it. Don’t save anything for best, best is everyday.”

LOCATION
Based in North Staffordshire, with excellent transport links, I can cover
a wide geographical area. I can visit you in your own home, meet you
in a shopping centre or arrange for you to visit a studio.
